This is a 16-hour multi-jurisdiction (Maryland, D.C. & Virginia) approved firearms safety training class that satisfies the training requirements to apply for the Maryland Concealed “Wear and Carry” Permit, the D.C. Concealed Carry Permit, the Virginia Concealed Carry Permit and the Maryland Armed Guard Permit. As a bonus, this class also satisfies the training requirements to apply for the Maryland Handgun Qualification License (HQL). During the classroom portion of this class, the following topics will be discussed: Application Process, State Firearm Law, Home Firearm Safety and Handgun Mechanisms and Operation. During the range portion of this class, there will be a “live-fire” component in which each student must demonstrate gun safety and proficiency with a minimum score of 70% accuracy.
